Continual learning is something I feel very passionately about. Why? Because I’ve been there! On both sides of the table – as a teacher, and as an Adult Learner.
The Industry has changed. Our practice must change – and the move from rigid rules and structures, to a more fluid, intuitive, creative and natural approach to design is going hand-in-hand with the move away from traditional floral foam.
For creative design, making somebody feel comfortable is the first challenge – we all feel quite vulnerable and open to criticism when facing a new challenge, updating skills, or learning a new process. I feel very strongly that the best way to learn is in a non-judgemental, friendly, non-critical but open and honest environment.

Who can benefit from 1:1 training sessions?
We can tailor the sessions to suit your individual needs, no matter what level of previous floristry training or experience you may have. That’s the beauty of 1:1!
It may be that you:
have some floristry experience, but have always used floral foam, and want to know how to ditch it!
are just starting out and want to build a foam-free business
completed a ‘traditional’ mainstream training course and were frustrated by old fashioned/outmoded methods
just love flowers and want to learn how to work with them.
enjoyed some basic workshops and are considering a career change into the world of floristry!
Whatever the reason, you can take the 1st step to your new outlook on floristry, with me here, in a non-judgemental, open and friendly environment. I’ll share my tips and tricks and guide you through what I’ve learnt!

If you are traveling some distance, I can suggest local places to stay, and am available to pick you up from mainline stations too (London St Pancras to Flitwick station is around 45 mins)
1 hr “Deep Dive” mentoring

A chance to pick my brains, chat and ask advice on anything eco-floristry or floral business related, if you have specific problems, worries or questions about starting your floristry business - this mentoring session will get you on the right track
Half day training 1:1 ; 10-1pm or 2-5pm

A jam-packed hands-on floral session tailored to your needs. We’ll go through the relevant foam-free mechanics options for your area of interest, and get hands on with a studio full of beautiful flowers. We’ll work together in my studio in a no-pressured, no judgement way! I’m here to help and guide you and you can ask me anything you want.
Full day individual 1:1 floral training session 10-5pm

A jam-packed full day of floristry training, where we get to really focus on your business, your training, your point of difference and your needs. We’ll go through all my most used foam-free mechanics options, and get hands on with a studio full of beautiful flowers. We’ll work together in my studio on 3-4 different designs (based on size) and look at photography backdrops and hints and tips for your portfolio. I’m here to help and guide you and you can ask me anything you want.
2-day intense individual floral training 10-5pm over 2 days (weekends available on request) (from £725)
For those who have travelled far, and wish to complete their whole eco-floristry training in one go, over 2 consecutive days. I work out a bespoke and individual itinary based on our preliminary chat about your business plans and floristry future. We get to really focus on your business over 2 days and power down on the areas you are most interested in or concerned about. We’ll go through all my most used foam-free mechanics options, and get hands on with a studio full of beautiful flowers. We’ll work together in my studio on as many different designs as we can - from large to small - and look at photography backdrops and hints and tips for your portfolio. I’m here to help and guide you in an honest and open environment and of course, you can ask me anything you want.
(price may vary based on size of floral designs you want to create - if we are creating large installations a local venue will be sourced)
For all my studio-based training sessions - there will definitely be copious amounts of coffee & tea, biscuits & cake of course (what florist can work without them?), lunch if you’re here for the day, and cat cuddles - but only if you want them! I’ll welcome you with open arms and we will have lots of flowery fun together. You will leave with a new found energy and enthusiasm, and another person in your corner to champion your new flowery future!
