Funeral Flowers that are kinder to our planet
It’s a sad truth that the traditional style funeral flowers seen in most funeral director’s catalogues, are leaving more behind than just your memories. Unfortunately, the single-use plastics (plastic-derived floral foam), poly-ribbons and plastic card holders are also making a huge impact on our environment. It’s completely understandable when you are grieving the loss of a loved one, that this may not be forefront of your mind.
Funeral flowers made using eco-friendly techniques
All of our stunning funeral flowers are made using eco-friendly techniques. That means:
No floral foam (no floral foam 3D ‘shapes’ or alphabet letters)
No poly ribbons.
No plastic card holders.
As many locally grown materials as possible, within growing season.
No waste going to landfill.
Simply beautiful, natural compostable flowers.
Fully biodegradable tributes for your loved one
We will select the very best seasonal ingredients, to create bespoke and personal tributes, fitting for your loved one. We use mainly UK grown materials, but can also include imported (Dutch) flowers year round to create the effects you desire, and to meet your needs outside the UK growing season. We often include personal touches, and meaningful items - it may be a favourite flower, something that your loved one had grown in their garden - even fruits and feathers have been included - all with special meaning, to the family.
Don’t hesitate to ask, and mention any special things that you may have thought of - we will always do our best to come up with creative ways to incorporate them. We can create FULLY biodegradable tributes, suitable for woodland burials, and use agra wool and moss, with bio-degradable bases, for most of our tributes. Sometimes, we use re-usable containers as bases, or trays or other items that are to be returned and re-used afterwards.
